Scouting Merit Badges

Learn the Climbing Merit Badge on real rock!

This makes a great day activity for a weekend outing, especially for the older boys. Any time not spent with instruction can be spent just having fun on the rocks. This outside class takes place at Devils Lake, regarded as some of the best climbing in the Midwest. Larger emphasis will be spent on selecting a climbing site. There is a minimum of 6 scouts required for the outdoor class. This can be a mix of scouts seeking the merit badge, and those just out to climb for the day. Cost is $95 per scout per day for the merit badge class, or $85 for scouts not receiving merit badge instruction.

Canoeing & Whitewater Merit Badges

We can offer both climbing flatwater canoeing and the more advanced whitewater badges to your scouts. These outside classes takes place on local rivers and lakes for the canoeing merit badge, and on the Red River in Northern Wisconsin, regarded as some of the best whitewater in the Midwest. There is a minimum of 6 scouts required for the whitewater class.Cost is $120 for this overnight course. $40 per scout per day for the canoeing merit badge class.The scouts must have their first aid merit badge.
